Great ride...eventful. Lots of food. Great pie, Pat! Thanks so much.

Things experienced on the ride (not all by me): Flats....bug in ear....went down avoiding an off-leash dog....bruised ribs.

RAGBRAI

Only had the time to do one day of RAGBRAI this year. An example of the fun things one sees on RAGBRAI.

It gets better all the time

As spring progresses, biking to work keeps getting better every day. Don't have to lug around all those extra clothes for those days that are 25 degreesin the morning and 50 degrees in the afternoon.

I feel more like pushing myself now that there is less weight to carry around.

So, now I have saved about $450 by not paying for a UNL parking permit. I have had to drive once in a while and so I've spent $50 for daily permits. At 20 mpg I would have burned about $7 in gasoline per week. $7 x 50 wks = $350 saved in gasoline.

Glass & Flats

Oh, I wish when they clean up after a car accident that they'd sweep up the broken glass. Flat this moring due to glass.

Had a great tailwind on the way home tonight!

Drizzle on the way to work

A little drizzle on the way to work this morning, not too bad otherwise. 36F It felt good to get out after being lazy on the weekend.

Finally a couple nice days to bike to work

A beautiful day to bike to work. Temperature in the 60's. For me its 5.6 miles each way.
